Map Filters


Selecting Region and/or Province

Upon opening the Crime Map, select a Region and you can also select a Province.
Selecting a Region means that the map will only load the crimes/incidents reported on that Region.
Selecting a Province means that the map will only load the crimes/incidents reported on that Province.
Selecting a Region is required, while selecting a Province is optional.

  • Selecting a Region

    Click on the Region drop-down text-box to view the available Regions. Click a Region to select it.

  • Selecting Province

    If you wish to select a Province, click on the Province drop-down text-box to view the available Provinces. Click a Province to select it.
    Note that the Provinces loaded in the drop-down text-box is dependent on the Region you selected.

  • Applying the Region and Province Selections

    After making your selections, click the button
    to let the Crime Map load the crimes/incidents data.

  • Filter by Incident Type

    After the data is loaded on the map, you can filter which types of crimes/incidents you want the map to show.
    Tick or un-tick the corresponding checkbox of type you want to show or hide.
    You can also choose which type of incident icons to show in the map
    Click to show icons that depict the type of incident.
    This is better if you have zoomed-in into the map.
    Click to show smaller icons-more that are suitable if you have zoomed-out of the map.

  • Filter by Date (Period Covered)

    After the data is loaded on the map, you can filter the data by Date.
    Click on the 'From' and 'To' date textboxes and type-in the specific dates desired.
    Note that upon the initial loading of the map, the selected Period Covered is the past 30 days.

  • Select Date using the Calendar

    To select the dates using the calendar,
    click on the calendar button of the date textbox.
    Clik the selected date. You can change the month by clicking the month navigating buttons

  • Specific Location

    You can view crimes/incidents reported in a specific location, like your home or office address,
    a barangay or any know location like a shopping mall, hospital, church and other establishments.
    This is to help you be aware of the crimes/incidents common in your area or places you are going to.
    And help you take necessary precautions when passing through areas with high crime/incident rate.

  • Enter a Location

    Type the name of a location or a keyword of the location in the location textbox.
    Suggestions will be displayed as you type, select a suggested location by clicking it.

  • Select Radius (of specified location)

    You can show a radius in the specified location. Click the radius drop-down textbox.
    Options will be show and select a specific radius by clicking it or select 'None' as desired.

  • Incident Icons

    Crimes/incidents are represented in the map with specific icons for each type.
    To view the details of a crime/incident, click its icon and a baloon showing the details of the crime/incident will appear.
    Here is an example of a Roberry

    Here is an example of a Homicide

    To close the information ballon, just click the or close button in the top-right portion of the baloon.

    You can show Police Station and Fire Stations layers on the map.
    Click the to open its options

    You can click on a Police Station icon to view the stations information.
    Station Name, District, Address, Contact Numbers and Police Station Chief

    You can click on a Police Station icon to view the stations information.
    Station Name, Contact Number
